Foundations for Clean-looking Skin

Before, i only use pressed powder. Younger years, i felt that foundations are heavy on your face. The usual cake foundation you can purchase at SM :) Thank God for research and technology. Foundations now feature different "edge" suitable for your need.


I have a combination skin type. Depending on the weather, it can get nasty dry. I make sure that I put on moisturizer everytime i put on foundation. Here are brands i have tried:

Make-up Forever Mat Velvet- said that it is perfect for oily skin. I am not sure that it does have a matte finish. i see myself after 4 hours that my face is oily. They say that it lasts long. I think otherwise. But the coverage is perfect for flaw cover-ups.

Mary Kay- creme- to- powder -foundation. Nice coverage and this has a matte- finish look. Though you have to blend it in faster because it tends to absorb into your skin quickly. Not recommended for people with dry skin




Pond's Flawless White Foundation- too bad if you are morena, i do not think there is a shade available for you. Only comes in two shades, Ivory White and Rosy Beige. This one i can say stays long after a day's work. Not bad for a 300 peso investment. It does make your face have that certain glow :)

 Maybelline Clear Smooth Foundation- This is a steal for only 249 pesos. This glides perfectly since this has a smooth powder-finish. Not too matte for your skin. Perfect for all skin types
